Turmoil.

The traitorous wave crashed,
Against the tide which had given him birth.
The turmoil startled her awake, the slumbering sea,
Torn between the two, unable to choose, she thrashed,
Yet it was only the shore that suffered.
The world stood at war, reluctant comrades and yet not at battle.
