Poetry

What will you be? Mine?

Be a snake and slither into my life,
Entwine me, in your essence;
Feed me your poison.

Be a spider, spin a web
of lies; and entangle me,
In false hopes and dreams of tomorrow.

And when I’m all blinded by you;
Be a lizard and crawl away, Out
from my world, leaving me,
Thirsty, desolate and alone.

Hopeless, dreamy and yet aware.
Of the marks you gave me and,
Of the masks this universe wears.
